Panasonic KX-WP1050 Skype phone

Home phones do not exactly come with the spiffiest designs unless you drop some serious dollar in Bang & Olufsen’s direction, but generally how many of us can afford to do that? Panasonic’s latest WiFi Skype phone aims to bring some much needed change in that department with the KX-WP1050. Looking more like a hybrid TV remote and phone, this handset is a PC-free system that enables you to carry out Skype conversations as long as you are within range of a wireless network. Features include a travel WiFi router, a leather carry case, and an auto-voltage adjusting power supply. On the security side, you get 256-bit AES WPA encryption. Unfortunately, the $399 price tag will throw most people off, but for those who really need one won’t mind paying top dollar for it.
