Hardcore comic fans will claim that Spiderman has sold out to the community by endorsing even more Sony products than the suave and debonair James Bond ever did. This claim rings true as our favorite web slinger is now the ambassador of the Sony PMX-M70 portable media player. Feelings aside, the PMX-M70 comes with a 4.3″ widescreen color display, MP3, WMA, MPEG4 and AVI support, an integrated FM tuner, built-in speakers, TV-out, direct video encoding, a photo viewer, clock, and calendar functions. It will come in 2GB, 4GB, and 8GB models, boasting 20 hours of battery life for audio playback and a quarter of that for video. No word on pricing though, but it doesn’t look set to knock the iPod Video off it’s perch anything soon.
