Looks like the humble boombox has gotten an update from Windward of China, featuring a widescreen 7″ LCD display that is sandwiched in between the two speakers. You can’t use your CDs with this though as it lacks an optical drive of any kind, but instead relies on a wide variety of flash-based media such as CF, SD, MMC, Memory Stick, and xD cards to store your portable audio and video. In addition, this updated boombox also comes with a built-in alarm clock to get you out of bed in the mornings and a calendar function that helps you keep track of the current day lest you dress up for work on a Sunday.
