One of Apple’s newer patent applications point towards the development of motion compensation features on devices such as the iPhone. This application describes different ways to turn handling of a touchscreen device or viewing a mobile screen easier whenever said device is moving about, be it when traveling on a bumpy road in a car or plain walking around. Some of the solutions include display adjustment using motion data and screen properties, scaling selectable images, varying the input region on a touchscreen device or even including pressure values and location values. I suppose not having incorporate such technology is a good thing if you want to prevent pedestrians from being too engrossed in the current movie they’re watching and step out in front of a fast-moving truck, realizing their error too late.
