AVerTV USB HD PVR

AVerTV answer’s Hauppauge offering with their USB HD PVR that features S-video, composite and a set of component video inputs to help you stay connected to your new HDTV from your computer. This is more or less the nearest you can get to HD quality with HDCP shielding HDMI video stream. Thanks to the integrated H.264 encoder, you are able to free up your CPU from unnecessary processing time which would normally require at least a quad-core to transcode the HD stream in real-time. AVerMedia aims to stand differently from the rest by throwing in a HDMI output. Unfortunately, there is still no native Windows 7 Media Center support at time of publishing, but AVerMedia compensates for that with a copy of Arcsoft TotalMedia Theatre equipped with scheduling features. Expect the AVerMedia USB HD PVR this March for $199.99.
