Apple iTravel Patent

Apple iTravel Patent

Apple always seems to be filing an interesting patent or two, and now the fruity company has filed a patent for iTravel, which turns your iPhone into a device that can handle all your travel needs. The app would allow you to search for and book flights directly from your iPhone, after which you can then share that information on your iPhone contacts, possibly via iGroups, and even set it so that you receive travel updates via SMS or push messages. To take things on step further, the app could make use of RFID, allowing your boarding pass to be stored on your iPhone to be scanned using QR codes or an RFID chip. Maybe if we’re lucky we’ll see these features in the iPhone 4G.
