You may not be in the market for a new universal remote, but Control4’s devices are pretty interesting. The TX-4000 WebPad has just paid a visit to the FCC, and it sports a 10.4-inch 1024 x 768 pixel color LCD touchscreen display. It’s more or less able to control most of the devices in your home, ranging from AV equipment to the lights to your alarm system. The device sports an AMD LX 800 Geode processor, 512MB of storage, 256MB of memory, Wi-Fi b/g, speakers, USB 2.0, and a 3-hour battery life. The WebPad will be running Control4’s proprietary operating system and has a customizable interface for different usage scenarios. Pricing or release date wasn’t mentioned just yet.
