Costco sells T-Mobile G2 with caveat

Costco has started to sell the T-Mobile G2, which is another channel for those who want to pick up the latest Android-powered handset. Well, this sounds fine and dandy, but there is a catch where only customers who qualify for an upgrade are eligible, so you can’t purchase this device outright or depend on a flex pay scheme. Costco won’t follow the $149 path that Radio Shack took, but will instead sell it at $199 – similar to T-Mobile. What’s the enticement then? Well, Costco will be offering upgrade-eligible T-Mobile customers a free accessory kit with a G2 purchase. The accessory kit will comprise of a hands-free ear bud, case, car charger, and a Bluetooth headset. Perfect if you are one who loves talking on the phone when driving but do not yet own a hands-free kit.
