Intel 25nm SSD could offer superior lifespan

There is one thing about archives of digital data that bugs us – there are moments where you will need to make a transition from one format to another, since nothing lasts forever. With film for example, all you need is to store away your precious film and developed photos properly, with humidity being one of your main concerns. Digital data? There are a whole lot more of other threats out there. Intel’s upcoming 25nm SSDs are on their way, where they ought to come in nearly double the capacity of current models without seeing an increase in the price point. Not only that, one can expect to see a performance boost of up to 250MB/s and 170MB/s, respectively, while the total lifespan will be bumped to 60TB, which is roughly four times of what we’re getting right here and now.
