SwimBrowser lets you swim on the internet with the Kinect
Since the Kinect has been hacked to do pretty much anything, it’s no surprise when we tell you that it can been used to surf the web as well. A developer named David Stolarsky managed to create a browser that relies on the Kinect for input on how to navigate through websites. Called the SwimBrowser, users perform hand motions that resemble swimming under water to execute different tasks. At the moment, functions are still limited, for example there’s no way to input text yet but users can create new tabs, switch tabs, open links, zoom in and out, and more. There’s no telling if this browser will ever be commercialized, but for what it’s worth, it’s a joy to watch. Hit the break to check out a video of the SwimBrowser:
