Wind Explorer car aided by the wind to get around

So the world’s warming up due to higher gas emissions from additional vehicles on the road, while more and more people turn on their air conditioners when summer rolls around, making us wonder – is there enough energy to go around? The Wind Explorer car that you see here is a crazy idea, as TV host Dirk Gion and engineer Stefan Simmerer took it for a spin, and what a long spin it was! They completed a 5,000 km (3,107 mile) journey across Australia recently in the Wind Explorer, where this lightweight electric vehicle is juiced simply through an electricity-generating wind turbine and a kite, picking up a trio of world records en route. The Wind Explorer can be kept running overnight by juicing it thanks to a portable 20-foot wind turbine. You won’t win any races with this puppy though.
