Now this is a scenario that Apple must surely give a thought to – with word of the next generation iPhone (iPhone 5?) not coming at least until next year, will it be able to catch up with the hardware improvements on the Android side, with models like the HTC Sensation 4G (also known as the HTC Pyramid)? There are many sensational tag lines that one can think of to go along with the name, where this latest 4G smartphone from HTC will offer a whole lot on its plate. For starters, there is the new HTC Watch video service, not to mention the latest HTC Sense experience. Made from premium design elements, those who are interested in this will be able to get it from T-Mobile USA this summer. With the HTC Watch service, it is a whole lot easier to access premium movies and TV shows whenever you are on the move, and you can also enjoy 4G connectivity on this – hopefully it will not have battery issues as with the HTC ThunderBolt.
Other features include a 4.3″ qHD display, a 1.2GHz dual-core Qualcomm Snapdragon processor, an 8-megapixel camera that boasts of a new instant capture feature, full HD video recording capability, and a new Video Trimmer tool for on-the-fly edit amongst others. We expect it to retail for a similar $200 price point with a 2-year contract, of course, as with other high-end Android powered smartphones. HTC is really in a groove now, and their momentum is going to be difficult to stop. [Press Release]
