Halo: Combat Evolved Anniversary demo video released

Halo: Combat Evolved Anniversary in Classic Mode

Last month Microsoft announced Halo: Combat Evolved Anniversary at E3 and in case you weren’t paying attention then, it is the HD remake of the flagship Xbox game to celebrate the game’s 10th birthday. But besides just upping the graphics in the game, Microsoft also spent some time to develop new features for the game so that people who’ve already got the first Halo: Combat Evolved will have a reason to make the purchase as well (i.e. Kinect support).

Fans who are interested to check out new footage for the game were in for a treat if they attended Comic-Con today. The same demonstration (that was shown off to the attendees at E3 last month as well) has now been released online for everyone to watch. The demonstration shows of how the game looks like and one of its features: Classic Mode. With the press of a button, users can instantly switch the game’s visuals to how it looked when it first came out 10 years ago, and it really just shows how far we’ve come in terms of computer graphics since then.

The game is also said to play exactly like the original Halo, as the developers wanted current Halo fans to feel right at home when they pick it up. Sounds like it’s going to be a treat for both fans and non-fans of the game. Check out the video demonstration to see for yourself:
