Sony PlayStation Vita

Can’t wait to get your hands on the next generation PlayStation Portable aka the PlayStation Vita? Well, the folks over at Amazon and Best Buy are now more than willing to start collecting your money for the upcoming console. It’s been reported that the two major shopping outlets are now accepting pre-orders for the PlayStation Vita console that’s scheduled to arrive at the end of this year (in Japan at least).

Amazon has priced the console at $249.99 (WiFi-only) and $299.99 (3G + WiFi). The Vita has been given a shipping date of December 31st 2011 though there’s no telling if the date has been confirmed. Meanwhile, further up north, Best Buy Canada is selling the console at the same prices but has the shipping dates pushed back to March 30th 2012. We’ve had previous reports of the device only arriving in the US in 2012, so the Best Buy date seems more likely to be accurate, but hey – we can always hope right?
