OnLive DesktopRemember the OnLive Desktop app that lets you run Windows on your tablet? Well, it looks like the app/service might be in trouble. According to reports online and an announcement on Microsoft’s Technet blog, OnLive’s Desktop and Desktop Plus services may be in violation of Microsoft’s licensing terms. While this spells bad news for the service, Microsoft did announce that it is actively engaged with OnLive “with the hope of bringing them into a properly licensed scenario” and is committed to seeing the issue resolved.

Now there’s no telling how this legal dispute is going to end, but if OnLive fails to comply with Microsoft’s terms I guess we’ll be bidding OnLive Desktop farewell pretty soon. It may be only a few months old but I guess OnLive should have sorted these issues before giving it the green light. We’ll keep you posted on what happens.
