Good news HTC One X owners on AT&T’s network, if you’ve gotten your hands on the HTC One X with the Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 processor, you will be pleased to learn that thanks to the efforts of the hardworking Android community, your device has been rooted! While this will open up access to cool apps and mods that might have otherwise been closed to you, the bootloader for the device still remains locked. At the moment it does not look like HTC has any plans to unlock the AT&T version of their One X handset any time soon so if you’re looking to flash some custom ROMs onto the device, you’re out of luck. In any case if you don’t mind rooting your device to gain access to some apps and mods, head on over to the XDA forums for the details and instructions. Remember to proceed at your own risk and always remember to backup your device.
