The Sony ST27, also known by its codename Lotus, is widely believed to be the Xperia active update for this year. After all, the UAProf (User Agent Profile) for the ST27i and ST27a variants have been published before, and those confirmed some lingering thoughts that the smartphone will have a FWVGA (480 x 854) resolution display. Unfortunately, apart from that nugget of information, there are no other specifications confirmed as at press time. Some intelligent guesses can be made, and it is not too far fetched to figure out that the Sony ST27 will come with the NovaThor U8500 chipset (a 1GHz dual-core processor) as well as a 3.5-inch display and a 5-megapixel shooter at the back. Incidentally, a camera sample from the ST27 has allegedly appeared on Picasaweb, showing off a blue bowl while confirming the presence of the 6.0.B.3.104 firmware right out of the box. Something tells me that we will obviously need to wait for some more time before additional information regarding the Sony ST27’s specifications makes it to the news, whether through legit channels or leaks.
