Just last week we reported that Motorola Xoom owners on Verizon’s network would be undergoing a test, and while it was not confirmed then, many had speculated that it could be for the Android 4.0 update. This would finally bring the 4G version of the Xoom tablet to the highly anticipated Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich update, and the good news for 4G LTE Xoom owners is that yes, it looks as though the Android 4.0 update is finally here! The update is scheduled to begin rolling out today on the 4th of June and Verizon has confirmed this via their support page. So if you own the Xoom tablet, expect to see the notification informing you of the update to arrive shortly, although you should not worry too much if you haven’t received it yet since we expect it to be rolled out in batches. The update should bump your tablet to the latest Android 4.0.4 IMM76K build. More details about the update including the changelog can be found at Verizon’s website.
