The Google Play Movies app for Android has just received yet another feature that you might want to take into consideration – it will allow you to stream not only TV shows, but movies as well. These will obviously be rented or purchased from the Google Play Store, but as at press time (and as expected, too), the streaming video service will only work in the US. Not only that, even rooted devices will be able to enjoy such an experience, as prior to today, if your device was rooted, you could forget about enjoying streaming on the Google Play Movies app.

Guess those living outside of the US, even if you were to bring home the Google Nexus 7 tablet first, would still lose out on this particular key product. It has been more or less a week since users have noticed that Google no longer places one additional restriction on rooted device, and that would be preventing the streaming of movies and TV shows via Google Play Movies.
