There has been plenty of buzz surrounding Grand Theft Auto 5 in recent weeks, where we do know that the game itself has been confirmed to arrive on the PS3 as well as Xbox 360 sometime in spring next year, but other than those two consoles, there has been no mention of other platforms to date. If one were to turn back the clock and look at history objectively, majority of Rockstar games do make their way to the PC platform, and we have more or less an idea on when that would happen, but when it comes to GTA 5, the issue of a PC version of the game remains in the balance, as Rockstar’s Dan Houser mentioned that other platforms are under “consideration.”

This is what Houser said in a recent interview, “Everything else is up for consideration. That’s all I can give you. The main thing is we are not… we are a third-party publisher. We’re not Nintendo, we’re not Sony, we’re not Microsoft. We love all of them in different ways. But we can do what we want wherever there’s the appropriate business opportunity and chance to find a market. If that’s on Apple we put something on Apple. Wherever it might be. I think that’s the fun in what we do. We see ourselves as a content company that uses technology. We don’t make it; we use it to make the most fun stuff.”

Do you hope for it to hit the PC platform if you don’t own either one of the two consoles that GTA 5 is headed for?
