So Facebook for Android has already reached version 2.0, ditching the relatively slow loading HTML5 code in some parts (or at least, that is what it feels like on select Android-powered smartphones), making the entire Facebook experience a whole lot smoother. Well, it seems that Android users are not the only ones to benefit from a new Facebook update, as Windows Phone 8 users too, are on the receiving end of a little bit of Christmas cheer.

The new Facebook app for Windows Phone 8 is ready to be downloaded by all Windows Phone 8 users, where it will see its version bumped up to 4.1.0.0, and this is one update that you should not miss if you have every intention of naming your future progeny after the social network due to the amount of time you spend on it. For those of you who have already given Facebook for Windows Phone 8 a go, how do you find the new and improved version? Is it as smooth as butter?
