Working for Verizon sure has its perks, and one of them it would seem is the ability to get their hands on limited edition devices designed for Verizon employees. What this means is that for us regular folks, it is possible that enterprising Verizon employees might buy those phones and then put them up on eBay or Craigslist to sell for higher, targeting customers who don’t mind paying extra to own a relatively unique device. The good news is that if you were hoping for a limited edition Windows Phone, it seems that Verizon has an “employee edition” of the HTC Windows Phone 8X, and as you can see above comes in a grey finish with lime highlights, which we have to admit is pretty cool. If anything it’s certainly a departure from the bright and funky colors that Windows Phone 8 devices seem to sport these days. As usual these devices are individually numbered to showcase their limited availability, and perhaps to keep tabs on who bought what. We’re not sure if all employees are able to get their hands on HTC 8X, but if this is a phone you don’t mind owning, be sure to keep an eye out for eBay or Craigslist listings!
