[MWC 2013] LG has just announced the sequel to their previous outing where the Optimus Vu smartphone is concerned, and just like movie sequels, the name says it all – the LG Optimus Vu 2 has just been announced to the world over at MWC 2013 today. The LG Optimus Vu 2 will definitely be able to duke it out with the higher mid-range smartphone segment, sporting a generous 5” display that has a 4:3 aspect ratio, Voice over LTE (VoLTE) capability, a removable 2,150mAh battery which will certainly go down nicely with those who love tinkering with their handsets, 2GB RAM, an 8-megapixel camera located at the back and a 1.3-megapixel shooter up front, all running on a dual-core 1.5GHz MSM8960 processor, and Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich has been touted to be the operating system to arrive right out of the box.

We do wish to have seen Android 4.1 Jelly Bean as part of the package though, considering that we are well into 2013 now, and the LG Optimus Vu 2 was first announced officially last year.
