E3 will be taking place in Los Angeles next week, although all three major video game console manufacturers have already announced their products, with the Wii U being the only “next-generation” console currently on the market. The Xbox One and PlayStation 4 will be releasing this year, which means many deal-hungry gamers will be able to snag older consoles at discounted prices, which video game industry analyst Michael Pachter believes Microsoft, Sony and Nintendo will announce during the trade show.

In a note to investors, Pachter says he expects Nintendo, Microsoft and Sony to announce price cuts during E3. Sony and Microsoft are expected to drop the price of their respective current generation consoles by “at least $50,” while the Wii will receive a price cut making it available for $99. Older consoles aren’t the only piece of hardware Pachter expects to receive a price cut as he also believes Nintendo will cut the price of its Wii U by $50, or at least offer a new bundle for the same starting price of $299 and $349 in order to help improve its sales.
