Screen-Shot-2013-07-23-at-6.33.13-PM-650x344A couple of days ago we reported that thanks to a leaked photo, a Motorola Droid Ultra Limited Edition photo was leaked. The device is the same internally as the regular Droid Ultra, but the main difference is that it would sport a racing stripe down the middle of its back, which ultimately is a different design compared to the regular models. At that time it wasn’t specified if this was a limited edition model, but we speculated that it could be a Verizon employee-exclusive, which isn’t surprising since Verizon has released similar models in the past.

Well it turns out that is true and that particular Droid Ultra model you saw was the Verizon employee exclusive. Like we said, the internals of the phone will remain exactly the same as the other models, but will just sport a different design and will come bundled with a Griffin Reveal case and SOL Republic JAX Earbuds. To make it an attractive purchase to employees, Verizon has priced it at $99.99. Since it is a Verizon employee-exclusive, this means that you will not be able to get your hands on it, unless an enterprising employee decides to put up their model on eBay!
