Nokia Glance Will Not Be Available On The Lumia 520/521

One of the features Nokia has introduced to its lineup of Windows Phone devices is the Glance. This basically puts a clock on the display of the phone at all times, so that even when you take out of your pocket you will be able to tell the time without having to press any button. It’s pretty handy and it is expected to be introduced to other Lumia devices in the Amber update, but it looks like not all Lumia handsets will be getting the feature. An earlier rumor had suggested that Lumia devices that run on a LCD display will not get the feature, and now Nokia has confirmed that the Glance feature will not make its way onto the Lumia 520 and the Lumia 521, T-Mobile’s version of the Lumia 520.

According to Nokia, the reason behind this is due to hardware restrictions, and with the Lumia 520 being the one of the lowest end Lumia handsets from Nokia, we guess this did not come as a complete shock. However with the Lumia 520 doing pretty well for itself, and apparently being the most popular Lumia handset so far, we’re surprised Nokia did not try harder to bring the feature onto the phone which we’re sure will disappoint many Lumia 520 owners.
