t-mobile-iphone-5-price

It is being reported that starting today T-Mobile iPhone 5 price will be changed once again. The carrier launched iPhone 5 back in April, at that time it was being offered for $99 up front with equal monthly installments of $20 for the next 24 months. They saw quite an influx of customers on launch day, with a T-Mobile executive going as far as calling the iPhone 5 launch “gangbusters.” It didn’t say back then that this price was promotional, so that’s why in the second week of May we saw the iPhone 5 price on T-Mobile being raised to $149.99 up front with the same frequency of monthly payments.

The up front payment is now reportedly being reduced by $5 to $145.99 for the 16GB iPhone 5, for 32GB and 64GB the new price is $245.99 and $345.99 respectively. They’ve raised $1 on the monthly payments, which is actually called the equipment installment plan. Customers will now have to pay $21 each month for the next two years after they purchase an iPhone 5 from T-Mobile. The carrier has not yet announced this change in pricing. This report is based on a purported internal memo leaked from within T-Mobile. [Image via TmoNews]
