Amazon Cloud Player Now Available For Mac

It would seem Amazon is on a role today as not only did they launch their Kindle Matchbook service, but they’re now announcing they have expanded their Cloud Player app to be available for Mac owners.

Amazon Cloud Player debuted on the PC earlier this year, but prior to its availability on the PC, it had been available on a number of devices including Roku streaming media players and Sonos’ Wireless HiFi system. Now those who own Mac computers can download the application, which can check for newly ripped CDs as well as purchases through iTunes to then add those tunes to your Amazon library. Your library can then be played across multiple devices, making it virtually available without having to sync our music files across devices.

The Amazon Cloud Player also allows its users to shop from Amazon’s MP3 Store, which currently houses a catalog of over 25 million songs as well as discover new music through personalized recommendations, all within the app. We guess if you’re using the Amazon Cloud Player, you probably already do quite a bit of shopping on Amazon, so having all of this included in their application will probably make it a must get if you want the company to also handle all of your music purchases.
