d3_ps4Remember yesterday we reported that Diablo 3 for the PlayStation 4 would not support Remote Play? According to the game’s senior level designer, Matthew Berger, at that time he stated that the reason behind this was due to the PS Vita’s smaller screen, where a lot of the action might be missed and where things could get cramped because of it. Basically at the end of the day, Berger seemed to be saying no to Remote Play, at least for now, but did state that it was on Blizzard’s mind. Interestingly it seems that the developer might have had a change of heart because in a statement Berger made to GameSpot, he was quoted as saying, “As long as PS4 supports Remote Play, Reaper of Souls will support it.”

We’re not sure if this means if Remote Play will be available for Diablo 3 right out of the box, or if his statement was simply to say that yes it will be coming, but they will have to figure it out first, such as the different aspect ratios as well as trying to fit everything onto a smaller screen. Either way presumably this is good news for PS Vita owners who are planning on getting Diablo 3 for their PlayStation 4 console.
