The PlayStation 3 will soon be considered a “last-generation console” as soon as the PlayStation 4 is released in two weeks. Even though the PlayStation 3 will seem like an old console, there’s certainly still some life left in it as there are quite a few games expected to be released in the coming year that aren’t expected to make it to the next generation quite yet. If you plan on sticking with your PlayStation 3 for a little while longer, then you may need to get a new DualShock 3 controller. Luckily, Sony has announced a brand-new PlayStation 3 controller that will make those of you who enjoy transparent shells giddy with excitement.

The limited edition PlayStation 3 controller will currently only be made available in Japan, which is being called a “skeleton style” controller. The transparent DualShock 3 controller isn’t exactly new as Sony released one in the past, although this is the first time the company has released one with rumble features.

The transparent limited edition DualShock 3 controller will go on sale in Japan starting December 19 for 5,500 yen, which converts to around $56. We’re sure you can find a better deal for a DualShock 3 controller in the coming weeks, although they probably won’t be as transparent as this one.
