AT&T Tower

The second largest mobile carrier in the U.S. recently announced its quarterly earnings, it posted revenue above analysts estimates and also revealed that it wasn’t bleeding subscribers as was speculated over the past few months. However, the carrier remains under pressure from its rivals, particularly T-Mobile, which posted an impressive surge in subscribers as compared to the previous year. In a bid to entice more subscribers and retain those who might be contemplating a switch, the new AT&T family plan rates have been announced, the carrier says that they’re the “best-ever.”

The new AT&T family plan rates are geared towards small businesses as well. For $100 per month, AT&T offers family-size 10GB of 4G LTE data as well as unlimited talk and text. Adding a line costs $15 per line, so if two users opt for this new rate plan, they’ll have to pay $130 per month. Additional lines can be added for $15 each. New subscribers will have to purchase a phone with AT&T Next, the carrier’s early upgrade program, they also have the option of bringing their own device or buying one from AT&T at full retail price. For a limited time, the carrier is offering all new and existing subscribers $100 bill credit for every new line of service that they add, the new line may be a smartphone, tablet, feature phone, AT&T Wireless Home Phone or mobile hotspot. The new rate plans are live now.
