HTCOnelogo-660x422HTC’s next-gen flagship smartphone is currently being referred to as the HTC M8 which is apparently the codename. In fact we have heard in the past how the final name of the device could be known as the HTC One+, or maybe even the HTC One Two. However thanks to a post by @evleaks, it seems that all these rumored and speculated names aren’t even close as apparently the device will be known as “The All New One”, which to be honest sounds a little long and does not quite roll off one’s tongue as one might expect.

According to @evleaks, “Forget HTC One+. Look for M8 to be called The All New One, in gray, silver, and gold.” So apart from the name, it seems that the handset will also be made available in a multitude of colors, which we guess is great for those who want a little more variety other than just black or white. We’re not sure how HTC decided on the name which sounds more like a tagline than an actual product name, but safe to say that it is a name that many will remember, and hopefully for better reasons apart from it sounding a little ridiculous.

The HTC M8 was expected to be announced at MWC 2014, but thanks to HTC sending out invites to a press event in New York and London, it seems that we can look forward to the handset officially debuting on the 25th of March instead.
