battlefield4Battlefield 4 gamers, are you sick of playing on servers where you’re not able to change the rules, the map playlist, and so on? Wouldn’t it be more awesome if you were the one in charge of that? Well the good news for PlayStation 4 gamers is that it looks like the Rent A Server feature could be making its way onto the console in the near future.

This feature, for those unfamiliar, is already available for Battlefield 4 gamers on the PC, but it is still missing from consoles. The confirmation of Rent A Server for the PS4 was made by a community manager over at DICE who responded to a question posed by a gamer regarding rentable servers.

According to the community manager, “Indeed, it is coming. I’m afraid we don’t have any information on this quite yet, but it is coming soon! Keep your eyes peeled on the Control Room and Battlefield blog, as those are most likely where you’ll see it announced first.”

Unfortunately there was no mention of whether the feature would be arriving on other consoles, like the PS3, Xbox 360, or the brand new Xbox One, but we can only assume that if it arrives for the PS4, it could likely arrive for other consoles as well.

In any case there was no mention on when EA/DICE would be making the official announcement along with the details, but we’ll be keeping our eyes peeled for more information, so if rentable servers are something that you and your friends/clan members are interested in, do check back with us further down the line to see if anything has been announced.
