xiaomi-miuiXiaomi might not have prepared their very own tablet for the mass market just yet, and just for the record, the Eden Tab should not be counted, but this does not mean that they have no idea with what they are doing when it comes to a tablet’s user interface. No sir, the company’s tablet-friendly MIUI Android ROM is now available as an open beta for the 2013 edition Nexus 7.

According to folks over at Xiaomi, the MIUI Android ROM is far from being a scaled up version of MIUI V5, as it will carry a “brand new architecture” underneath the hood with content that will include native apps, system menus and brand new screen animations which have been specially optimized for both screen orientations.

Apart from that, Xiaomi CEO Lei Jun has also added that tablet vendors are able to get in touch with Xiaomi should they finally decide to opt to go with MIUI preloaded on their respective devices, which makes this an unprecedented event for non-Xiaomi hardware. Having said and done all of this, it does not mean that Xiaomi is not going to roll out tablets of his own sometime down the road, but there does not seem to be any concrete plans of doing so at this point in time .
