As for the rest of the driving population out there, chances are we would have experienced a dead battery at least once in our lifetime, which is more of an inconvenience than anything else – unless there is a zombie apocalypse happening, of course. Well, the Jumpr from the folks over at JunoPower has the potential of being a lifesaver, where this ultimately portable battery pack has more than enough punch to be able to jump start a car, as well as power your smartphone, of course.

Needless to say, there are plenty of battery pack options out there in the market that would enable one to jump start a vehicle, but majority of these tend to be large and bulky beasts in their own right. The Jumpr in comparison, is an extremely svelte solution at just 7 ounces, where it measures all of 5.5 inches in length making it roughly the equivalent of that of a smartphone. Underneath the external chassis, one would find a 6,000 mAh battery that has a standard issue USB port to power up mobile devices, in addition to a 12-volt 150-300-amp output and jumping cables to cater for vehicles.

Bear in mind that this is not a cure all solution, since it would not be able to handle huge trucks, but generally speaking, it ought to play nice with the likes of four- and six-cylinder engines. There will also be an integrated LED flashlight that will help light the way should you happen to be stuck in a dark environment. Pre-orders for the Jumpr are being taken until May 1st at $69.99 a pop, where after that, the price would rise to $89.99.
