Alleged iPhone 6 Renders From Foxconn Leaked

iphone 6 foxconn rendersOver the past few weeks or so, we have been treated to a variety of mockups that are supposedly based on the iPhone 6’s design. Now we can’t say for sure how real these mockups are, but they do resemble the leaked schematics we saw a while ago. That being said, new renderings of the iPhone 6 have surfaced, which seems to confirm what we have seen so far.

These renderings have apparently been sourced from Foxconn itself, who is Apple’s primary supplier (via Wei Feng). The renderings shows a design which measures 138x67mm which seems to be consistent with the earlier schematics. Then again, it is entirely possible that someone cooked u p these renderings on their own computer, so there’s no telling how real they might be.

It also shares similarities with other mockups, which includes the pill shaped volume controls, which reminds us a bit of the iPhone 3GS, and also the repositioned sleep/wake button that has been moved to the side of the phone for easier access, thanks to its rumored 4.7-inch display. Interestingly enough it seems that all the renderings and mockups we’ve seen don’t seem to include the pill shaped flash unit for the camera.

One of the features of the iPhone 5s was its dual tone flash that would supposedly make flash photography on the phone more natural, and less harsh compared to regular flash. It seems doubtful that Apple would exclude the feature so quickly, unless of course they’ve come up with a newer and better solution. In any case take it with a grain of salt for now, but if the leak really came from Foxconn, there is a good chance that this could be the real deal.
