lenovo_logoIt was in February this year that we brought you word from Lenovo, having announced that they are one of the latest Windows Phone hardware partners of Microsoft, and the company looks set to introduce their very first Windows Phone 8.1 smartphone some time later this summer. Of course, nothing concrete has been confirmed to date, although German website Mobile Geeks has reported that Liu Jun, the President of Lenovo’s Mobile Business Group, did reassure the masses that Lenovo is working hard to roll out a Windows Phone 8.1 device before the year 2014 clocks out.

Very little details are available as at press time concerning the device as well as the kind of innards it will come with, so it is still pretty much up in the air as to whether Lenovo intends to market their Windows Phone 8.1 smartphone among the entry level and mid-range markets, or will they aim right away at the high end segment that could cost more than half a grand, unlocked.

Needless to say, if Lenovo were to jump into the Windows Phone market, then the folks over at Nokia might want to be on their toes. After all, more (legit) competition would most of the time, allow the consumers to emerge as the “winner”.
