bungie-destinyHeads up gamers, we’re sure many of you are looking forward to playing Bungie’s upcoming shooter, Destiny. This is a pretty big deal since Bungie used to be responsible for the Xbox-exclusive Halo franchise, so Destiny will sort of be like a test to see if Halo was just a fluke or if they really have what it takes to create a hit franchise.

So far the game looks really good and if you’re interested in getting your hands on it, you can. During Bungie’s presentation at E3 2014, they revealed that the game’s first look alpha will be made available for PlayStation gamers come 12th of June, which is in a couple of days. This will let PlayStation gamers have a first look at the game before everyone else.

The alpha access is expected to last until the end of the weekend. However if you’re busy the rest of the week or if you’re looking for something more refined, Destiny also revealed that the beta will be opened to PlayStation 3 and PlayStation 4 gamers on the 17th of July, so gamers will only have to wait a little over a month to check out the beta.

As for Xbox gamers, fret not because the beta for the Xbox platform will be launched shortly after the beta for Sony’s platforms, although Bungie did not mention when exactly that will be taking place. The final build of game will be released on the 9th of September and for gamers who haven’t bought a PS4 yet, Sony had revealed earlier a white PS4 with Destiny bundled.
