e-m10_limited_edition-471x400While it is the innards of a camera that matters when it comes to taking photos, there are some of place just as much value on appearances as well. For example while Nikon’s 1 series of mirrorless cameras are pretty capable devices, there are many out there who don’t particularly fancy the design language that Nikon went with it.

Well the good news for photographers is that if the aesthetics of your camera truly matter to you, you might be interested to learn that Olympus has recently announced that they will be created limited edition versions of the Olympus OM-D E-M10 camera. Now the E-M10 itself is pretty nicely designed. It has a somewhat retro-look to it, but we guess Olympus thought it could look better.

So what so limited edition is it about these models? Well each camera will be “specially crafted” in a shade of green, black, or orange, as you can see in the image above. The lens cap itself will also be of the same color, and there will be shiny metal lettering that helps exude that premium look and feel.

The casing itself will be texture and have raised surfaces, which should allow for a better grip. The camera will also be bundled with a super-slim pancake lens, creative filters, a genuine-leather strap, and will play nicely with the Olympus OI Share app that allows users to use a smartphone to control its shutter. Apart from that we expect the hardware to remain the same as its regular version.

Priced at £749, the limited edition Olympus OM-D E-M10 will be available starting late June exclusively at Harrod.
