ATT_CyanHere’s an interesting rumor – it seems that if you’re a Windows Phone user in the US and you’re looking forward to the Windows Phone 8.1 update, you might be interested to learn that there is a possibility that AT&T could be rolling out the update later this week. This is according to a post on the AT&T forums where an AT&T community manager who goes by the handle “ATTMarianaCM” revealed that information.

According to her post, she basically confirmed that AT&T would be pushing out the Windows Phone 8.1 to certain devices as early as this week. She later adds that there will be additional details posted on the AT&T consumer blog later on where presumably the update will be detailed, such as the changes, features, as well as supported devices.

Of course there’s no way to confirm if what the community manager said is true or if it is official. Sometimes reps can give out wrong information and until we actually hear from AT&T and see it on their blog, perhaps maintaining a bit of skepticism might be the way to go. In any case we will be keeping our eyes peeled for more information, so do check back with us later this week for the details! So, who’s excited at the possibility of getting their Windows Phone 8.1 update this week?
