This is actually a follow up to the original Framed that was launched back in 2011. It’s basically an LCD display that users can interact with by using gestures. It will also be linked to an accompanying smartphone app in which users will be able to choose and purchase different pieces of art, as well as change the one that is currently on display.
Users will also be able to schedule certain pieces, so if you’re having a romantic date over, maybe having some romantic pieces of display would be great. Framed 2.0 will come in multiple sizes and will be priced differently depending on which size you go for. The cheapest, which is a 24-inch Full HD LCD, will be priced at $399 for the first 250 backers.
There will also be a 40-inch model which will retail for $1,500, and a “super limited” 55-inch model will retail for a whopping $10,000, although the upside is that you get to meet and dine with the design team in Tokyo. If you’d like to learn more or perhaps get your hands on one, you can do so by heading on over to its Kickstarter page to place a pre-order.
