m7Come 4th of September, we expect Huawei to take the wraps of a new phone. According to the invite the company sent, they certainly have something planned for that day and there is a good chance that what they are unveiling could be the Huawei Ascend Mate 7. Now we have seen several leaked photos in the past, but thanks to new leaks, we get to look at the rear of the phone and its front.

One of the features of the upcoming Ascend Mate 7 is its thin bezels, which as you can see in the image above are indeed pretty darn thin! This gives the illusion that the phone’s display is really larger than what it is, although with a whopping 6.1-inch display, we doubt anyone would think that it is a small phone.

However with the thinner bezels, it would make the phone a little smaller and easier to hold, although we guess we’ll have to take it for a spin ourselves to see how true that is. The photos also shows off the rear portion of the phone which appears to be made from metal. There is also an area below the camera’s lens which seems to confirm earlier rumors of a fingerprint sensor.

Other rumored specs of the Ascend Mate 7 includes a Full HD display, an octa-core processor of Huawei’s own making clocked at 1.3GHz, 2-3GB of RAM, a rear-facing 13MP camera, and a 5MP front-facing camera. In any case take it all with a grain of salt for now, but check back with us on the 4th of September for the details.
