Huawei has officially expanded its audio lineup with a brand-new dual-color edition of the Huawei FreeClip 2, bringing a modern aesthetic alongside advanced AI processing and superior audio capabilities. Announced alongside the Huawei Pura 90 Plus and Huawei Enjoy 100 smartphones, this latest release refreshes the popular open-ear design with vibrant new color configurations.

Retaining its signature C-bridge acoustic design, the FreeClip 2 combines a soft-touch liquid silicone build with memory metal. According to Huawei, this construction delivers a fit that is 25 percent softer than the previous generation. Each earbud weighs approximately 5.1 grams and features automatic left-right ear recognition, allowing users to wear either unit interchangeably on either ear. For enhanced durability during workouts and daily commutes, the earbuds carry an IP57 rating for dust and water resistance.

Performance is driven by Huawei’s proprietary third-generation chip, paired with a dedicated neural processing unit (NPU) for artificial intelligence tasks. This processor delivers up to ten times more computing power than its predecessor. Audio output is handled by 10.8 mm dual drivers with dual diaphragms, engineered to double bass power and maximum volume compared to the original model. Furthermore, the device supports the L2HC audio codec, adaptive volume and voice adjustments, and spatial audio with a 40 percent reduction in head-tracking latency.
Smart ecosystem features are powered by Harmony AI, featuring Xiaoyi voice assistant integration, smart notifications, head-gesture controls, and real-time translation. The charging case incorporates NearLink technology for precise tracking. Battery life reaches up to 9 hours of continuous playback on a single charge, extending to 38 hours with the 537 mAh charging case. Each earbud houses a 60 mAh battery, supporting rapid charging that delivers 3 hours of playback from a quick 10-minute charge.

The standout feature of this new release is its striking dual-color finish, offered in Red/Yellow, Blue/Yellow, and Red/Blue combinations. The package includes a yellow charging case and three matching accessory rings for customized styling. Available now in China via Vmall and authorized retailers, the new edition is priced at 1,299 yuan (~$180), with a promotional launch discount dropping it to 1,249 yuan. International availability outside of China has not yet been announced.
