You would have to excuse Microsoft for running promotions in order to sell more Xbox One units. In the next generation console wars the company’s contender, Xbox One, is lagging behind the PlayStation 4. Sony’s console has sold more than 10 million units around the globe whereas the Xbox One hasn’t crossed this milestone as yet. Microsoft announced a new promotion today in which customers can choose a game for free when they pick up an Xbox One from a participating retailer.

The promotion is only being run in the U.S. and customers can take advantage from September 7th to September 13th. It is up to the customers which title they want to pick after purchasing the console, there are some AAA titles that cost a pretty penny and surely customers would appreciate getting one for no cost at all.

Microsoft is running this promotion at a time when one of the most hyped up games is being released. Bungie’s Destiny is coming out on September 9th. Other title choices include popular games like Watch Dogs, Titanfall, Madden NFL 15 and Diablo III: Ultimate Evil Edition.

The offer is not only valid for retail Xbox One units, it is also valid for Xbox One system bundles. The entire list of titles has been posted on Microsoft’s website, which also includes the names of retailers that are participating in this promotion.
