GMV has carefully listed the applicants, and 7 global medias will assess them regarding their services and product quality during the event. Based on the assessment, “GMV Award” will choose winners. From this award event, tremendous marketing opportunity is given to all the participant companies to be nominally globalized, and moreover, the winner may taste the chance to enhance their brand value.
The managing director Joonghun Kwon from KOTRA IT Business Department said, “By 2013, mobile Internet use has already exceeded the cable Internet use, and even vulnerable IT social group, the middle aged, also made a record mobile use. This means that IT industry will ultimately walk the path to the mobile one.” He continued, “GMV obviously is teaching the right direction for Korea, the strong country of technology, to become a guru in mobile industry, and absolutely it is the bridge-head for another big event coming, K-Tech Silicon Valley.” The director concluded his confidence in GMV, “GMV has been and will be striving to take a one step further to reach our ultimate goal, Korea MWC (Mobile World Congress).”
Last October, Ministry of Science announced “ICT and SW R&D Medium and Long Term Strategy”. They see mobile and SW industries as the core method of Creative Economy and leading economy growth.
