smashbros-3dsIt looks as though the Nintendo 3DS family of portable gaming consoles is going to get yet another three more different designs – on the outside, at the very least, with the announcement of three more new looks that are in store for the upcoming holiday season where the Nintendo 3DS XL is concerned. This particular bit of news was announced over at the GameStop EXPO in Anaheim, California, where the new limited edition systems are touted to sell like hot cakes when made available, and it is also an excuse to purchase a new Nintendo 3DS XL for your other half simply because you would like to engage in some multi-player goodness.

The three new cool looks will comprise of the Super Smash Bros. Edition Nintendo 3DS XL, NES Edition Nintendo 3DS XL and Persona Q Edition Nintendo 3DS XL. Super Smash Bros. Edition Nintendo 3DS XL will arrive in red and blue shades, where they will hit the nation’s sales channels this September 19, which is a couple of weeks prior to the Super Smash Bros. for Nintendo 3DS game launching in early October. This new design will feature a dozen of the game’s characters, including Mario, Link, Samus and Little Mac on the cover, and it will retail for $199.99 apiece, just like for the other two designs, which is the NES Edition Nintendo 3DS XL and the Persona Q Edition Nintendo 3DS XL.
