gtav_details09122014_015So the other day we reported that Rockstar had officially revealed the release date for Grand Theft Auto V for next-gen consoles and the PC. Next-gen consoles could expect to see the game arrive for tem on the 18th of November later this year, but unfortunately for PC gamers, their version of the game will only be making its way onto their computers come 27th of January 2015.

So what gives? What is with the delay? Well according to Rockstar, it seems that the PC version of the game still needs a bit more polishing before they feel that it will be ready for mass consumption. According to the developers, “We are also incredibly excited to be bringing GTAV to the PC, but the game requires a little more development time in order to ensure that it is as amazing and polished as possible.”

We suppose this is a better late than never situation. After all, we’d rather Rockstar release a proper game than one that is buggy and could potentially ruin the experience. So far for the next-gen version of the game, Rockstar has certainly improved upon the graphics. The game had looked good before but we have to admit that with next-gen consoles and possibly the PC, things will look even better.

In any case hopefully this will be the only delay that gamers will have to encounter for the PC version of the game, but do check back with us at a later date for more updates.
