bungbungameWhen it comes to the world of computer processors, Intel does tend to take top spot in most people’s minds, although AMD too, does have its fair share of fans, if you will. In fact, the market where notebooks and tablets are concerned currently carry just a few models that run on the AMD Mullins low-power processors, with the majority of them featuring AMD’s E1 or A4 Micro series processors. BungBungame of Taiwan has just showcased one of its first tablets that will run on the beefier AMD A10 Micro-6700T Mullins processor (the HP Stream also runs on a Mullins processor).

Also known as the BungBungame Photon2, this happens to be a Windows tablet that will feature a 10.1” display at 1,920 x 1,200 pixel resolution, where it will be accompanied by 4GB RAM, 64GB of internal memory, and has Bluetooth connectivity. One major advantage of having the Bluetooth connection is to have it play nice with an optional Bluetooth keyboard cover as well as a digitizer pen that delivers pressure-sensitive input. Of course, you can still make use of your fingers if you want to.

Do expect the BungBungame Photon 2 to arrive with a $550 price tag thereabouts, accompanied by a 30Wh battery, a 4.5 watt, 2.2GHz quad-core processor, and Radeon R6 graphics. There will also be front and rear cameras alongside a micro HDMI port, a microSDXC memory card slot, 802.11ac Wi-Fi and NFC connectivity.
