Over A Million People Have Joined Microsoft’s Windows Insider Program

It has only been a couple of weeks since Microsoft unveiled Windows 10. Don’t worry yourself too much about Windows 9 because Microsoft has skipped it and went straight for Windows 10 due to some odd reason. The company launched its Windows Insider program in order to allow people to install the technical preview of its latest software. An update from Joe Belfiore, who runs the team that does Windows Phone, tablet and PC product definition and design at Microsoft, reveals that over one million people have signed up for this program.

So is it safe to assume that there are more than one million installs of the Windows 10 technical preview? Pretty much, since its also possible to get the preview through online file sharing websites and some folks at tinkering with the Enterprise builds as well, so there’s quite a bit of activity happening with the technical preview.

The aim of this program was to receive feedback from users and then use it to shape the future of Windows. Microsoft says that so far it has received over 200,000 feedback submissions from users via the dedicated Windows Feedback application.

If you missed out on the Windows 10 technical preview when it first went live don’t worry, you can still sign up for the program and download Windows 10 technical preview from here.
