assassins-creed-release-dateIt used to be back in the day if you wanted a video game, you’d have to head on over to your local gaming shop to pick up a copy. Nowadays thanks to technology, new channels are available, such as Steam where you can find thousands of games without having to leave your house.

That being said, if you had your eye on the new Assassin’s Creed Unity, Far Cry 4, or The Crew, it seems that Ubisoft/Valve has removed them from Steam. Prior to this, there were reports that the games had been removed from the UK Steam store, but now it looks like the removal has been made global.

A statement Ubisoft made to PCGamesN stated that the developers were in discussion with Valve, but they did not offer an explanation as to why the games have been removed. This is actually not the first time that Ubisoft and Valve had issues over their games being listed on Steam. Previously titles such as Far Cry 3 and Assassin’s Creed 3 for the PC were delayed on Steam.

That being said if you absolutely have to play the game when it is released next week, there are alternative channels in which you can download the game from, such as Ubisoft’s Uplay, Green Man Gaming, Amazon, and GameStop, just to name a few. Until then we will keep our eyes peeled for more info.
